Short and long-distance walks (signed as PR and GR routes respectively) and paths in the Baix Ebre region offer the chance to do a healthy sporting activity in an amazing natural setting. Four long-distance GR paths cross the Baix Ebre region:
Ebro Nature Trail - GR 99
Following the River Ebro for 1,200 km from its source in Cantabria, through the regions of Castile and León, La Rioja, the Basque Country, Navarre and Aragon to its mouth in the Ebro Delta in Catalonia. The Catalan stage takes in spectacular landscapes such as the Sebes Nature Reserve.
Parts of the Baix Ebre section can be done by bike, for example from Benifallet to Tortosa coinciding with the Val de Zafan Green Way and from Tortosa to Riumar in Deltebre
The Consell Comarcal (county council) for the Baix Ebre region, with the collaboration of local town halls, have installed rest areas along the route at the Candela tower, the Mare de Déu chapel in l’Aldea, and at the river mouth in Riumar.

GR 92

The GR 92 long-distance path, also known as the Mediterranean Path, follows the entire Catalan coastline from north to south, starting out at Portbou (Alt Empordà region), before leaving Catalonia in the south at Pont de l’Olivar in Ulldecona (Montsià).
The GR 92 path is one of the most spectacular and popular activities in our area. As it follows the coastline, it passes through the towns of l’Ampolla, El Perelló and l’Ametlla de Mar, taking in a myriad of wonderful Mediterranean beaches and coves.
